    ,

    Main Description

Be very careful this summer of the Scam’s about as they will try to get you.

    The most popular scams :
    1. Ebay / Pay Pall, if you are selling items on ebay be careful as you might get someone
who says he has paid the full price for your item and the funds have been set aside
in his paypal account account awaiting confirmation from you that you have dispatched
the item and needing a confirmation of post and tracking, and the the funds will be
released, its a scam and those of you will see straight away why. Funds have to be cleared in YOUR account not His account before you dispatch the said item. so be careful
    2. Junk Mail , Tons and Tons of mail saying you have won a prize and all you need to do
is pay x amount and this will release the prize and they keep bombarding you with
professional looking literature leading you to believe they are legitimate company,
if in doubt check them out, if they are a UK company then its easy see if they are registered at companies house, check the contact number, if they are outside the UK then you can bet your bottom dollar its a scam.
3.Time Share : Don’t  be pressured into signing agreement on the day or making a decision on the spot, Do not take a credit or debit card with you to a timeshare presentation.
If you want to purchase get a lawyer to go over the contract. Remember Don’t be Pressurized into signing take your time.
    4. Fake Event Tickets : Scam tickets look genuine and they take your money but
you never receive them and worse still they have had your card details for ID fraud
So only buy from tickets through trusted sites (like us)  marked with the Star Logo
of the society of ticket agents or they are members  of ASTA.
    5. Phony Flights : Pay up front for online flights and the tickets never arrive, always check to see if the operator or agent is signed up to a protection scheme like
The Association of British Agents   ABTA
    6. Dating Sites : Summer is a busy time for these scams, they can charge £150 per month
which is coming out of your bank account. Make sure you read their Term & Conditions
very carefully and if in doubt phone them or email them, if no response then they are
    probably scamming you.
